What to do?

Hello. So, if I were to give advise, which I am plainly doing now, I would consider my days with little people to be very, very important and I would liken my daily plans as a recipe:

A Day with my Child Recipe

Start with love. A very generous amount.

Add some words of encouragement and all the things you love about your child.

Stir in hugs of comfort as the child's life just completely changed.

Now, add some loving, tasty food.

Along with all of that, toss in outdoor and inside play.

Stir in some screen time on educational sites

Mix in generously all sorts of good books

Add more books, as these are the most important.

Throw in a dash of letters, writing, and numbers.

Top this off with some art (coloring, painting or play dough)

Sprinkle more comfort and encouragement

Place it all in a container of hope, love, and faith that we all will make it through

Snuggle until warm and happy

Repeat all these steps as necessary for a happy child.

There are so many resources available right now. I haven't the time to sort through all them. I will post a few choice options for all your kiddos. Be sure to do daily check ins to make sure they are ok and making their adjustments well. We all have a choice right now to decide if this quarantine will be a source of trauma or a source of warm memories for our children. I am choosing warm memories and hoping to help you all do the same.
