So many ways to Paint!

There are just so many different ways to paint and so many different things to paint with. I will show you some fun examples that we have done in our classroom that may give you some fun ideas to do at home. I will also include a link to make your own paint from home if your paint supplies have run low. First, there is no wrong way to play with paint: you can stamp with paint, paint a picture with a paint brush, add texture with combs or kitchen utensils including scrubbing brushes which create a great texture, and also you can dip these utensils and paint with them. You can paint with toilet paper tubes, bubble wrap, crumpled paper, sticks, leaves, pinecones, droppers, cookie cutters, and foil wrappers. Below are some of the things we have done in our classroom to give you inspiration.

The finger paint one seems like it would be fun. Also, if you are out of food coloring, but you have dried out markers lying around, you can set the marker in a small jar overnight (tip down) and the remaining marker color will seep into the water and now you have your own coloring for paints.

Have fun painting! It is such a relaxing activity that the children love doing!
