Hello Beautiful People,
This project is a great project to pair with a non-fiction picture book about space and the planets. Or you can read a picture book such as Eric Carle's Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me.
For Planet Prints, you will need:
1. Paint
2. Paper
3. The back side of a round pizza pan, or any thing else that is circle in shape and flat
Decide on the planet you are going to make. Use those colors and place little squirts of them on the pizza pan. For example, if I were to do the sun, I would use yellow, orange and white. Swirl them around on the pan. Next press the paper on top of the swirled paint and press down on the paper. You can do the sun, moon, Earth, or do fun colors and call it your made-up planet. Below is an example of creating the planet Earth.
